NMSU has made Grammarly for Education available to all faculty and students.

Grammarly is more than a spell checker; it is an AI assisted writing environment that offers real time feedback on clarity, tone, and academic style—features that many instructors already build into their courses.

Why this matters for teaching and learning:

• Classroom Integration: Faculty who assign essays, lab reports, or discussion posts can provide students with this equitably accessible tool to pre check their drafts.

• AI Transparency & Literacy. Grammarly’s Authorship feature discloses the use of AI and provides a transparent report of all active writing activity from the student. Using the tool alongside your own commentary can help students develop critical awareness of how AI systems evaluate language.

• Accessible Feedback at Scale: Large enrollment and online courses often limit the depth of individual feedback we can provide. Grammarly’s analytics give students immediate guidance on their writing capacities and reduce Faculty evaluation time.
