SPSS is a full-featured product line for all stages of the analytical process including planning, data collection, data access and management, analysis, and deployment.

SPSS is enterprise-wide software, so it is available to faculty and students. Staff are prohibited from using SPSS.

The SPSS product line available with the NMSU site license includes:

• SPSS Base (v28,29,30, and 31)
• Amos(Licenses only available to faculty, however the quantity of licenses is limited. v28, 29, 30 and 31 available)

The SPSS site license allows NMSU faculty and students to download and install SPSS onto personal devices.

SPSS software may be used for teaching or academic research purposes only (Including lab computers). Use of the SPSS software for profit, private gain, or other commercial use is illegal.

HOW CAN I GET A LICENSE AND SOFTWARE MEDIA?

SPSS can be used on personal devices, but we strongly encourage its use to be on NMSU-owned devices.

SPSS can be downloaded from a temporary download link. You can request a download link by emailing software@nmsu.edu and letting us know if you are installing on a PC or a Mac.

HOW DO I GET UPDATE CODES?

SPSS software requires that you install update codes annually. Update codes are available after July 1st each year. Send email to software@nmsu.edu with what version of SPSS you currently have installed and request an update code.
